I am a psychiatrist, born, raised, and educated in Upstate New York. Since I was young, I felt drawn to helping people and liked making people “happy.” As a freshman in college, I thought I would become a landscape architect. My hope was that being in a beautiful space could transform a person’s experience into one of peace and happiness. My studies in philosophy opened my mind. I began to recognize that in order to reach one’s full potential as a human being, the basis for change must come from within. One needs to have both an insightful mind and vibrant body. My aspiration to become a healer emerged and gained traction in college under the influence of my studies in Philosophy and Philosophy of Science.
